Roo Irvine
From a wee antiques shop in a small village in Scotland to the screens of millions of people in a matter of months, Arusha Irvine or ‘Roo’ as she is known, says she didn’t go looking for fame.

Roo was discovered after the Antiques Road Trip visited her antiques store Kilcreggan Antiques in early 2015 and very shortly after BBC producers invited her to join the BBC team of antiques experts.

A decade later and Roo is now a regular TV expert, and veteran, on shows such as BBC Antiques Road Trip, Flipping Profit, Bargain Hunt and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip. Roo also presents BBC Bargain Hunt - with consummate ease.

Roo has also made numerous guest appearances on BBC Celebrity shows such as Mastermind, House of Games, The Weakest Link & Pointless. In addition, during the Covid Pandemic, Roo launched her video and podcast channels under the tag #RadioRoo boosting her ever growing social media following. Roo is also an enthusiatstic, warm and dedicated charity auctioneer.

Roo continues to write on antiques for several publications including Scotland Correspondent and some local monthly magazines. Roo has also taken on a role as a radio broadcaster on Lomond Radio with her own planned monthly slot, delving into the powerful emotion and stories behind the music that we love and the songs that have shaped us over the years.

Other passions for Roo are food, music, animals, fashion and humanitarian issues. Viewers know Roo dresses to impress in her eclectic, and as she says “sometimes unique fashion”. She is an ambassador for The Blue Cross and Cats protection charities, which ties in with her profound love for animals and her passionate thoughts towards animal welfare and nature. As a self-professed foodie, she often cooks for groups of friends and family and once cooked for 100 people in a professional kitchen in a Hastings restaurant for a themed evening.

As a keen conversationalist, Roo excels when interviewing or working with contributors, guests and other celebrities on TV and Radio and is well placed for chat shows/ interviewing due to her warm, open nature and prides herself on bringing out the best in any contributor or guest.

Roo lives in a small village in Argyll & Bute in Scotland with her husband and three much adored Maine Coon cats.
